After launching its own Android phone called LePhone earlier this year, Chinese manufacturer Lenovo is now set to enter the tablet market with its new LePad tablet by the end of this year.

The device will use the Android operating system, according to recent comments made by Liu Jun, senior vice president and president at Lenovo's Consumer Business Group, and confirmed by the company. Any specs were released so far.

Lenovo are reported as saying that they want to win in China before taking their wares abroad. In fact, the company that bought IBM's "ThinkPad" brand of notebooks has a strong brand name that resonates with local buyers.
